Stathern Gardening Club had our first Tuesday meeting in the War Memorial Institute and what a great evening it was. Our speaker, Steffie Shields gave us lots of helpful tips to ensure that our photographs of gardens and plants were the best we could take. Without a note, Steffie talked through and showed us a wide range of images of individual plants and wider views all of which, despite her comments, looked great.
Steffie was impressed by the range of flowers brought for the regular competition - Flower of the month. She was delighted to see that we had this monthly event. Winner was Vikki Marriott, second place was Joan Bray and in third place was Jane Clayton - the smallest flower of all displayed.
Our next meeting is on 4th November and our speaker will be talking about growing vegetables.

on the first Wednesday of every month
at 7.30pm
in The Plough Inn, Stathern.
Stathern Gardening Club have a variety of events during the year including speakers, quiz, suppers, garden visits, members garden party, and the annual Horticultural Show.
