Simon Smith gave us a fascinating talk last night about growing vegetables. He covered basic information but also included some detailed scientific information eg seed germination rates and levels of various chemicals in composts and feeds.
His notes have been dustributed to those on the gardening club email list.
Simon is a national champion for growing various types of vegetables and gave some tips and ideas for us to help with entries for next year's show.

We have regular monthly meetings
on the first Tuesday of every month
at 7.30pm
in the WMI, Stathern.
Stathern Gardening Club have a variety of events during the year including speakers, quiz, suppers, garden visits, members garden party, and the annual Horticultural Show.
New to the village?
Monthly meetings give members a chance to share experiences and offer advice, especially for new gardeners.
